Today is the official supposed last day. We went back to visit, to give them some gifts of appreciation, and to join the C team for steamboat after their work. We found out that apparently there's no need to work weekends now because there's only one girl left [and no more sundays!]. See, when we are gone then such plans are implemented.
We had our steamboat supper/dinner at one of the shops in Bugis. It was really nice of them to give us a treat. Just a week ago, we went out with the E team for a Mookata supper too.
Nearing the end of the meal, we were both given a present each! It was really surprising. And then we opened our gift... a polaroid camera + film. Gosh, they bought 3 in fact, for each of us, and that is not really very cheap. Also, other team members whom we were not so close to also chipped in. I am beyond touched. A farewell meal and a meaningful present. It just amazes me how these people treated us so much better than our own stingy-no-leadership ex-boss. This really says so much about life and the kind of people we might meet. There is always the good and the bad. It is my good fortune to have met these wonderful people through this first job of mine.
I sincerely thank them from the bottom of my heart for making my experience in the company such a memorable one.
